According to a recent study: Transsexual prostitutes make more money than real women. What does that say about men and sexuality?

  • Transexuals may have a higher sex drive than real women due to their bodies still making testosterone and testosterone being linked to a higher sex drive. Having more sex as a prostitute will yield a higher wage than a prostitute who has less sex. I personally know members of the LGBT community to be more sexually active than a lot of straight people (not to say all straight people are prudes because we are talking about prostitutes here)

    Maybe guys really like anal or have the urge to try it so much that they feel more comfortable doing it with a transexual or have more opportunities to do it with transexuals rather than real women because female prostitutes may not always offer that service. It could also be that having anal sex is less personal than vaginal sex, so they feel like they will get less attached

    Some guys may have a gay fetish or interest, but don't want to go all the way with a real man, so they go with one who looks like a woman. Some guys may also have a fetish for dominating other men, but feel less gay with a transexual than one who looks like a man

I'm sure this is not a large amount of the business discrepancy, but it could be someone's reason

    And then there's probably a group of men out there who find transexuals more attractive than women. They may be heterosexual or homosexual or bisexual, but there are some some guys who find transexuals to be sexually stimulating

  • I can think about 3 reasons for it:

    - Men who have sex with transsexual prostitutes are desperate. So, they accept having sex with these women.
    - They might be attracted to men, but they're afraid to admit it.
    - Or they might not know these women are transsexual, if they already got a surgery to change their genitals.

    I don't know what does that say about sexuality though.

  • Transsexual prostitues are rarer and more of a novelty than natural women. So if there's less of something, they can charge more for it.

  • It is because men are not allowed to explore their sexuality like girls can. So they have to be hush hush about it. I have friends in the LGBTQ community and they will tell you. A lot of their hook ups and one night stands went and got boyfriends after being with them, and we mean like 99% of them and never told anyone about their experimentation.
    Also it comes down to men are trained to go after a certain standard and anything not meeting that standard is a "downgrade". Can you imagine the look on a some guys face if they went to a party with his boys and instead going after a hot girl, or even a less attractive one he ended up with a guy? So since it is frowned upon in the straight male world they find other ways to meet their needs.
    My one friend was in the army and his squadron got in a lot of trouble because some of the soldiers went gay during their deployment and charged other soldiers to bang them. The reason it got out was because one of the soldiers went broke from utilizing those services.
    Also when I was in the air force, two guys admitted if we deployed and there was no girls around they'd try to make me their cum dumpster... Men have just as crazy sexuality as girls, they are just more hush hush about it

  • Really? Hmmnn... Interesting. Here's what I think:

    Applying basic rule of economics (Demand and Supply), there must be lesser supply of Transexual Prostitutes (TP) than Women Prostitute (WP). That is why they can charge higher price than women prostitute.

    It could also mean their patrons are extra generous that is why they earn more. Or maybe the quality of their service is also a factor. They are... Or should I say, they could really know how to please men anyway. You know what I mean.

    It doesn't say anything about the whole industry though. Or which region they conducted the study. Some region can perform really different where there are lots of TP and has less potential patrons. If you also combine all the income of TP vs WP in that region, would it produce different result?
