Am I a psychopath if I fantasize about killing people?

When I was younger, I used to follow some guys I found attractive and fantasize about very bad things I could do to them?
It never happened but I still fantasize about it.
Does that make me a psychopath?

  • The ability to engage in fantasy, "experience" the event, and then feel remorse afterwards keeps you from having any desire to actually engage in such behavior. Psychopaths do not have the same fantasy experience at all, and that is why they proceed to make their fantasies become true.

  • Not quite, no... it's just a bit strange, and still a fantasy, and you know very well it is a fantasy.

But if you've been hurting animals, pets... then that might be a sign that you're a bit messed up already.

    • Hmmmm... No. I actually like animal.

    • Then it is fine. When you think about it, it could just be a very wild imagination, a bit strange... but these could also be the kind of people who write novels and movies and tv shows... about crime, action, horror, gore and what not... when someone writes fiction that is very detailed, they had to imagine it first, they had to be inspired, they had to visualize all these things first, it didn't come out of the blue or nowhere, right?

    • I don’t know honestly. I tend to enjoy being very dominant in bed too. Is it a problem or something?

  • It's not a good start, no. You shouldn't wallow in thoughts like that. It isn't good. I don't think psycopathy can be diagnosed on Gag. If you are truly concerned, seek professional help.
