1) masturbation is just an act to release sexual tension. It's better than holding it then be tempted to rape (especially for guys).

Hence in no way is it impure or sinful.

2) but if a (religious) person spreads the (religious) lie that masturbation is impure or sinful, then yes, the controlling act of that person is impure or sinful.

Avoid that kind of person. You will feel a lot better after that. And your faith and Bible reading will draw you a lot closer to God, who created sex (indirectly masturbation) and blessed it.
