See a doctor asap.
I used to think about random words which aren't related to each other like totally random which won't make any sense.
For example: human, Rubik's cube, mountain, ashley.
Something like this and it helped me falling asleep. Now i just have to close my eyes lol.1 0 0 0I have the same problem. For me it often goes on for weeks at a time, then I inevitably get sick and pass out. Unfortunately, I still have very little idea on how to deal with it..

You’re not insane haha. It’s probably just because COVID situation messed up your circadian rhythm.

1 14Welcome to the insomniac club. I feel your pain man.
1 0 0 0Your sleep schedule is off it doesn't mean you're insane.
0 0 0 0Hehe I know
4 days straight? That sounds horrible.
I feel like passing out when I go for even one night without sleep, unless I drink coffee.1 0 0 0Yeah it's pretty bad!
Aren't you in your 5 months long daylight period?
0 0 0 0I thought you guys had shades and curtains on your windows that would block out the daylight? Pilots and truck drivers and doctors can't stay up that long.. there's got to be a way around it.
Get yourself off, take a melatonin and lay in the dark with no phone in reach, works pretty well.
0 0 0 0I suffered this almost through the whole pandemic. You need to burn your energy... like go for walks.. exercise... and if not go to bed earlier... and just close your eyes when in bed.. and force yourself not to think too much ( that was my problem)
0 0 0 0Visit a doctor. This might be very serious.
1 0 0 0And another sleepless night 🤣 but ok I will
You can actually die from this.
And I mean it. There is a specofoc disease that will eventually kill you and starts with insomnia. However, it does not start instantly, it gets progressively worse. But if you don't sleep for a long enough time, YOU WILL DIE. So doctor ASAP
Are your nights shorter?
0 0 0 0Shorter, my days are long
That makes sense. Your circadian rhythm might be off. You might have to work on a schedule and stick to it to get your rhythm back.
Try taking melatonin when you want to go to sleep.
0 0 0 0Okay
That can literally give brain damage, so go to a doctor.
0 0 0 0Oh shit
I too belong to this club. It’s not insane. Our sleeping cycle is just fucked up.
0 0 0 0As long as you are getting 8 hrs, that’s good.
0 0 0 03 hours
That’s not healthy
if you are getting enough sleep don't worry, it doesn't matter if its during the day
0 0 0 0You are not insane. What is keeping you awake? Your circadian rhythm is messed up. Do you consume sugar, caffeine and/or cacao, how much?
0 0 0 0I do, coffee and energy drinks plus I am depressed
Let go off coffee and energy drinks for 15 days and get treated for depressions. You know the cause of your depression? Is it self diagnosed?
Wait for first withdrawal. Keep hydrating your self with water and consume good food as well. Make and note observations that how you feel every day. Try to write down everything you do. If you drink coffee write when and how much. I have my list with water 1/10, water 2/10 and very many other daily tasks
It happens from time to time
