Am I overstepping boundaries by giving my brothers condoms?

Okay background. My family is baptist my parents especially my mom are very u save it for marriage yada yada. We are all very very close, seriously couldnt ask for better. I have 3 brothers 21, 17, and 15. The 21 year old has a serious girlfriend but he's also high functioning autism and is painfully shy. Now i know my parents arnt gonna give them condoms, they just say they shouldn't be having sex. But i know from experience myself that liklihood isn't happening. I doubt my brothers will go somewhere n ask for condoms or even go buy (at least at first.) I got pregnant at 18 in college and i dont want them to go through things I've had to. Am i overstepping bounds against my parents and as their older sister buy getting condoms n making sure theyre available.

  • You are being smart and reasonable by giving him condoms. Does he know how to use them properly?

  • Not at all

  • If your brothers are wanting sex from you then no, you aren't overstepping at all. Condoms are important and I support your decision! :) Good luck and have fun. ;)

    • Good gracious not me.

  • I think you’re being realistic and thoughtful

  • Ordinarily I would think that was a bit much, but there does seem to be extenuating circumstances, so in this case, I'll allow it.

  • I don't think so. Better that they have them and maybe not need them, than need them and not have them

  • I mean, it’s not overstepping. Just help him learn how to do it, instead of just relying on you to do it. Your parents should’ve taught y’all about safe sex though, in case it happens, because it could lead to pregnancies/diseases.

My parents are the same way tbh, but if I come to tell them about wanting to be sexually active, they will help me, but I’m very awkward, so I won’t have to worry about sex for a while lol.

  • No, do that. It’s weird but I think it’s ultimately worth making sure they’re staying safe.

  • No , your doing what is right and i think your just protecting
your Brother from getting a girl pregnant.

  • No you are not, you are doing them a favor. They are your family and if you parents won't take care of them in this respect you are doing the right thing for stepping up. I'm sure your parents don't want them to have kids at a young age either.

  • Bro my moms been giving condoms for my birthday since i hit puberty

  • Way better than a unplanned pregnancy...

  • You are enabling them by giving them condoms, not protecting them.

    • If they do it anyway uk cuz their teenagers... then theyre without

    • Teen-agers aren't gonna have sex if they dont have contraceptives. Also baptist teaching have taught you nothing condoms are sinful. Maybe you can explain to them Natural Family Planning, I don't know if they have this in baptist communities. But I have talked to Priests about it.

    • Ridiculous. They will practice withdrawal or some other ineffective method and get their girlfriend pregnant. The areas with abstinence-only sex “education” have the highest rates of teenage pregnancies.
