Am I possibly pregnant?

I and my boyfriend had sex without protection and he ejaculated in me twice. After around 10-12 hours I took a morning after pill but the I didn't know that it was 84% effective. The pharmacy gave a cheap pill and didn't even inform. We had another sex after I took the pill (no protection again), not knowing it may cause another pregnancy. Should I take a pregnancy test? Am I possibly pregnant? It's been 5 days since and I feel a bit sick but I don't know if it's the side effect of the pill or a symptom of the pregnancy.

  • It's according to where you are in your menstrual cycle. If you know when you ovulate, you can gauge whether there's a possibility of your being pregnant.

My question is why are you having unprotected sex? Unless you WANT to become pregnant, use proper birth control. It doesn't sound like you want to have a baby. So stop playing baby roulette.

There are condoms, birth control melts and a host of other methods to prevent pregnancy, and when used in conjunction: a melt with a condom, they are about 95% effective.

You can also get birth control pills, have an IUD inserted, or have the under-the-arm-skin 5-year birth control method inserted. Nos 1 and 3 are highly effective. The IUD is close, but a little less so.

You're too old to be so careless. Plan your parenthood. Don't let it be an accident and a heartache.

    • I was drunk, I didn't think much of it. I don't have sex regularly and have no clue about the pills. That's why I'm asking.

    • Having unprotected sex is remains careless and this is why getting drunk is never a great idea during sex. Leads to these mistakes. You don't think when drunk, exactly! And USUALLY women tend to have sex most easily when they are near ovulation and most easily aroused. Go to Planned Parenthood or your primary care doctor and ask about the different methods of birth control. It doesn't matter that you don't have sex regularly. If you're having it AT ALL, you need to have protection IN PLACE!!! Get this done. Take care of yourself. Good luck.

  • I don't know much about the morning after pill, but I think it only delays ovulation until there is a good chance your guy's sperm has died off. If you have already ovulated, there is a good chance you are pregnant. Best get tested as soon as it can give a true result.

    • Thanks. Do you know when I should get tested?

    • Sorry, I don't. Bast ask in a pharmacy. You might be able to read what is on the box, in the pharmacy, yourself. Maybe check on line. My guess, only a guess, is 5 or 6 weeks.

  • You will need to take an EOT to be sure. I know the sex is fun but tell your boyfriend no condom means no sex! It is your body and your choice. Do you want to be an unwed mommy or get an STD? I hate to lecture but use condoms! Hang in there!

  • If u was close to ovulation or already ovulated then u could be pregnant I also feel u need to read up on sex Ed as it seems u have no clue what your doing

    • Here in where I live there's no such thing as sex ed, sadly. I had no idea I could fall pregnant after I took a morning after pill

    • Blood u have the Internet what u mean there is no sex Ed if your having sex with no clue of the consequences or risks your plain stupid and taking risks with your life

    • Stop with the aggressive comments and behave like a human. You're not talking to a child. I don't have to know every little detail of what a morning after pill does to my body. It's the reason why I asked a question on here, idiot.

  • If you ovulated thr pill won't work. It is pretty effective at preventing ovulation though

    • I took the pill after around 10 hours, i heard that it's effective if you take it in 72 hours

    • It stops ovulation. That's all it can do. I trust you have a working knowledge of how reproduction works.

  • Take a pregnancy test.

  • Take 3 OTC pregnancy tests and go with the consensus.

    • It's been 5 days, isn't it too soon?

    • I don't know, what does the directions say?

  • Take a test! Why ask us?

    • Because it's been 5 days. The test won't give a correct result this soon.

    • You just have to wait then. Nothing is gonna give you a better answer than a test. Nothing you can do but wait
