I want to have sex but I'm too afraid of getting pregnant. I tried birth control pills, but they mess with my hormones and bloat me.
are condoms safe enough?

What is your definition of “safe enough”? Condoms are pretty effective but all birth control methods have risk and a failure rate. Condoms are about 87% effective in the real world. They can and do break sometimes. They can fall off inside you if they aren’t put on properly, so accidents do happen. Just keep in mind that emergency contraception is available if you do have an issue but you most likely won’t.
so what do you use?
I have the copper IUD. I tried various hormonal methods but didn’t like the side effects or health risks. My boyfriend got tired of pulling out, so my gynecologist recommended I try this. So far it’s been the best option I’ve tried.
Are copper IUD expensive?
They are really safe. Me and my boyfriend have been using them for a while now and no pregnancy scare yet.
Some guys could put a pin in the condom. They also have a failure rate just like other methods. 13% of people using inly condoms get pregnant. Source below:

Using only* condoms
I already read that, I wanted to know what others were experiences
Good luck with that then. 13% is a lot to me.
yes. they are very effective at preventing pregnancy and preventing the transmission of STDs/STIs

Condoms are not a 100% guarantee. I would suggest mapping out your cycle to find out which days you have a higher risk and avoid those days.
Use condoms for the penis and lube with spermicide. And if you want more protection - the condom you put inside your vagina - aka the female condom 👍🙂
don't use chemical lubes it may scratch...
also look to the ex date
I believe so. Double it up though be on alert
