It's not like they join the business and decide who they wanna perform with and what terms and it's all glaramous. Yes they are just glorified prostitutes. They sell sex for money. That's prostitution. This is also why they often times film in places like Cali, because it's one of the few places where pornography filming is allowed (much like prostitution is only allowed in certain places).

Now they do get to pick and choose who they fuck. You'd be surprised how many get picked by companies and fuck guys who are deemed hot.

Sorry if I misinterpreted your meaning of "get tossed around and MAYBE you get a chance of being a star! Also using the words ugliest and crap aren't exactly supporting words. Not to mention most people wouldn't exactly find 55 yr old man with a common name receedig hairline and a gut "attractive" including guys just like him waiting for their turn. I may be reading it with my own judgement but we both know that it's accurate.
