Seeing from your point of view I can perfectly imagine the situation you are concerned about.
But I personally think that times are changing and so are the cultures (not for the good, I am afraid) due to some extremist groups (lets not name them).
These extremist groups (plural) have let to a condition where men and women are not two individuals who love to spend time together, but rather two bodies who represent two different political agendas.

Obviously if it continues it can be a threat to our societal cultural balance.

But this is a More of a developed 1st world problem. In third world (male dominated) societies, women care less about these things and see men in rather a cattle way ( it terms of supply). lol

Can't really speak to teenage boys but I know many men in their 30s and 40s who have gone MGTOW. In my city there has been huge growth in the last 3-4 years. A sad commentary on our 21st century society.
