Are there any female tennis player wearing panties under her short skirt now?

When i was young female tennis player always wear panties under her short skirt, now they wear short (like spandex) under. And i would like to know why they don't wear a shorts. Sometimes when they are sitting at a bench, The camera pan to the front view of them and i can see it all.
