Are you, or did you ever use birth control without your parents knowing?

Question

My parents actually talked with me about it and were open about it at a very young age.

But I know not all parents are like that and would be horrified to learn that their daughter was on birth control because then they would know or think that she was having sex. And many certainly wouldn't want to put her on it because then they would feel like they are condoning and encouraging her to have sex. Where is the middle ground?

3. I did not start having sex before birth control. My mom suggested it because of my period cramps and heavy periods.

both my parents explained contraceptives with me, before I went on the pill my dad said never trust the boy to put on a condom do it yourself that way you know and he used a banana to show me

I voted B but I also did C I was really careful back in highschool because my friends and family (even now) always tell people I'm the "good girl". So I always have kept the sexual side of my life a secret and maybe went a bit overboard on the protection but I wanted to be like 900% safe

I find it really annoying in this day and age that girls have to go it alone taking Birth Control, their parents should be pro active in this.

As a boy I never discussed anything connected with my personal life ever with my parents, when I could afford them, I used condoms.

Parents need to take responsibility and be realistic about sex and teens, they need to be 100% approachable and be able to talk about it.

Even a simple, when you feel like you need to, go to the doctors and go on the pill, it stops sneaking around, gives emotional support.

Parents (GaG users) that are unable to have these talks, are not really parents.

I only used condoms very rarely. Sometimes my partner would be on the pill and sometimes I would just roll the dice. It was amazing i never got anyone pregnant until after I got married.

In my family sex was never talked about. Hell no one my family never said I love you either or gave hugs. I know it sounds cold when you read this. But love was showed different ways.

I got the sex talk from a sex ed teacher. Back when I was in the 6 grade. All kids had to take the sex end class. It lasted for 2 days

Even with sex end class, I still didn't regularly protection and I never believed that it was solely the girls problem if I did get her pregnant.

When I finely got a girl pregnant. I stepped up to the plate and welcomed fatherhood. We never married, she left me and left my son behind. She abandoned her son. (I will tell more on that, if you ask)

No, mom didn't know I was having sex, but I was classified as an adult when I did and I was 18 and used no protection

I was somewhere in my mid 20s, but not really sure when, but it was with my third girlfriend and we didn't use it every time.

3. I had sex prior to starting birth control, yes or no: ?

Nope, I moved out shortly after I got the booty. I moved in with her

Never had a child with her and after two years of unprotected sex. I finely had a child when I was 21 with my second girlfriend.

Nope, she said if your going to do adult stuff, you have to pay the adult price and she also said I better do the right thing.

My first g/f's parents got her on the pill because of heavy cramps at 13, and we had sex at 14. So that made it easy. My mom randomly asked one day do we use birth control, I said she was on the pill. That was all, didn't tell her we weren't using condoms. When I dated other girls, it did come up sometimes.
