I feel this is fine as long as while she's not on her period your pleasuring her too. My boyfriend wasn't and I just sucked him every time before sex and I'd get no pleasure at all and that gets irritating. Don't feel weird asking, the worst she can say is no. Most girls are understanding and will pleasure their partners while they are on periods so it's not really uncommon. I know I'd rather him not be inside me or messing around down there while I'm on my period so I give him a bj instead.
