Best position for losing virginity?

Last night my friend and I were talking about sex positions and it transpired that I had lost my virginity in the missionary position, whereas she had doing girl on top. I feel that missionary was a good position for a first timer because the guy did most of the work and I didn't have to worry too much about what I was doing/whether I was doing it right, whereas she thought girl on top was better because she could control the depth of entry. I'm just curious as to what other people think. Please elaborate for your reasoning if you can!

  • The missionary position as you described allows the girl to more focus on what's going on and not have to worry about whether or not she's doing something wrong. It puts the pressure on the male to perform rather than the girl, because in my opinion she's already gotten enough to deal with being its her first time; she's nervous, she's anxious and unsure of what she's doing or what's about to happen. Even if such things are explained beforehand and the guy has done a great job of getting her ready and there's been lots of foreplay, the girl is still going to have all sorts of random thoughts in her head, perhaps, which will make her tense up and feel uncomfortable even more than she's already feeling as the guy starts to penetrate her. Therefore, I believe the missionary position is the best one overall for a girl's first time.

  • I think doing both is good for the virgins. I myself fucked a girl missionary style on my first time. Its just the most natural position, and the intimacy is a lot stronger when your really up in each others face. I was really tired though like you said. Maybe taking turns to do the work is more viable and fair. But it really depends on who is the most dominate partner, as that decides who takes most of the control. I think thats why most people do missionary on their first, as men are typically the dominate. Hope I helped!

  • The only bad thing about missionary (IMO), is that if the guy is not kind to you and is more rough than you would like him to be, you can't get him off of you easily. If you are with a guy who you trust to be gentle with you then I think missionary is great.

  • Both to be honest. The first two positions I started with was me on top or him on top of me. It worked out for the both of us.

  • You should try girl on top (cowgirl, reverse missionary etc).

  • My impression is that most people are a bit overwhelmed the first time and I would think that most girls would be more comfortable with the missionary position, unless they were afraid of being hurt by penetration, in which case the girl on top position would be less threatening.
