Missionary. Everyone always says cowgirl so that you'll be in control of the depth/angle, but I strongly disagree. When I lost my v-card, I tried cowgirl first. It was horrible! I had way more things on my mind than depth or what angle he'd get inside me at... hell, I couldn't even get him in to start with! Once I managed, I also had no clue how to move. I'm pretty sure I just did some awkward grinding, but it was truly horrible.

Missionary is the way to go. As long as he enters you and keeps his thrusting slow, not balls deep maybe the first time, you'll be fine.

For me I took the virginity thing quite seriously and really was "in love" and to me missionary is the most intimate of those positions. It is kind of the ideal. How realistic an ideal it is I'm not sure. I mean sex is important in marriage, and people often have different levels of desire and different expectations. It worked better when men did not have the unrealistic expectations that porn has created/encouraged. Now, sex outside of marriage is the norm, but I still think a girl's virginity is important. My second wife told me in a moment of closeness that she wished she still had her virginity to give me. At the time I was nonplussed (but very touched), as virginity meant and means very little to me, but it meant something to her, and that's what was important.
