Bisexuality Is a Myth

I don't believe there are any true bisexuals. Yes, each gender can have sexual relationships with both genders, but that alone doesn't cut it. Women seem to be the most receptive to bisexuality, and it seems a greater percentage of women experiment sexually with each other than men do amongst each other...by far.

Bisexuality Is a Myth

But at some point, that experimental phase ends and women usually choose a side (or a team) once and for all.

Men, on other hand, don't experiment with each other to the extent women do. If they are indeed having sex with both genders concurrently, it's most likely a hidden and furtive thing. I usually see this in situations where the man feels ashamed about his attraction for males (usually due to family upbringing or living in a conservative place) so he dates women and has sex with women just as a cover to appear 'normal' to everybody else in his community. But while doing this, he sneaks around and has a totally double life seeing men on the down and low. The man is actually gay, but for a period of time continues to have sex with women to "keep up appearances."

So, at the end of the day, people are fundamentally either gay, or they are straight, but not a mixture of both. You can't play for both teams forever, gotta choose a side.

    • Actually, it's been pretty good... I've seen worse. You have to grade on the curve, it is the internet after all. Lol.

  • i always felt they weren't sure.

    • Trust your intuitions and have the courage to proclaim them. Bravo!

    • thanks, i also have evidence. i read an account of on girl who thought she was gay-turned that is was just hormones.

  • What a shocker! I nearly fell out of my chair!

  • I'm bi, don't have sex with men on the down low- I date and have relationships with both men and women openly. So... theory dis-proven then, seeing as it depended on all bi men being ashamed of their sexuality.

  • Im bi and i also have many bi friends some times we tend to favor another gender more than the others so that is true i do favor girls more than guys

  • The logic is kinda dumb. Just because you have not bisexual feelings, doesn't mean that it is non existant. Thats like climate change denial; plain stupid and counterproductive.
As a random person once said, Sexuality is not distinct categories, but a wide spectrm.

  • right when i read the title i knew you were gonna get attacked by angry BI people lmao

  • no im both... i know my sexuality the most im def bi

  • Rubbish. I've battled with my own discovery of my bisexuality for years. It was deeply repressed.

The way it worked for me is generally the way it is for most bisexual guys, according to sociological research. I'm rarely attracted to guys. It's the one in a million that will arouse something in me. And I'm heavily, physically, as well as psychologically, attracted to women. Like many bi-sexual men, I discovered that most are 85%-90% straight, and occasionally, for some particular dude, a desire, the same way a desire flares for any gender, pops up. So I kissed a dude and I enjoyed it. I'd probably go further under the right circumstances with the right guy. But I have no interest in it as women fascinate me and attract me far more and far more often.

I'm okay with that. I don't really like gay culture (some gay men don't as well) but, likewise, there are plenty of aspects in straight culture that I also don't get/like. Trust me, this has not stopped me from enjoying, and getting rock-hard erections with women. There's no more repression though. I've finally come to terms and understood that this is the production of my wiring, coupled with my psychological development and general philosophical attitude and orientation toward the world. But sexuality -- how I wish I knew this in my late teens, early twenties! -- is as simple as getting a physical response to a stimulus. That could be a man. A woman. A shoe. And on and on. It's a vast vista of possibility. In other words, sexuality is more fluid for some men than it is for others. The real challenge was dealing with the psychological shock, the realization that this WAS inside me, and that I WAS repressing it and that it IS okay to feel this way. I, for years, wondered and repressed the fact that at one instance or another I felt an attraction to a guy. It came from here... or from this... Well, it doesn't matter. My body responded, and with time, my mind learned to accept it.

The extent of my fluidity? The thought of a strange man's body pretty much grosses me out. Then again, there are some male figures -- that although "fully" masculine, have these "feminine" qualities to them that are undeniably attractive to me. At bottom, for me to have a sexual/romantic relationship with a man... would have to be on account of meeting an Adonis. Whereas, I have always been, and remain, drawn and ridiculously virile around women. I love it. Them. All. In my case, 98% straight, and a 2% G. What's more, I mean it.

  • "You can't play for both teams forever, gotta choose a side."

So how did your ex take that?

    • My ex decided to swear off men forever after me and went off to join the lesbian mafia.

  • You are on a floating rock that orbits a ball of fire. You are gonna die and everyone you know is going to die and yet you're wasting your precious time writing about something that shouldn't matter to you because it doesn't pertain to you. SINCE YOU'RE NOT BISEXUAL THEN FREAKING LET IT GO AND WORRY ABOUT SOMETHING ELSE.

    • Homosexuals and bisexuals are "trick of nature", they are here for control the over population, I'm not sure if that trick even works, since they're trying to make babies with help of new technology (specially lesbians),... and bisexuals... they don't even have a specific "orientation" like straights or gays do, they play the both straight and gay side time to time being based on their preference!, since most women are like to play the gay side... you're no different either and hate this take is acceptable. lol

    • @Xaviers Im no different then who? And I'm straight, but I dont see the damn point in other people judging whats right and whats wrong if it doesn't apply to their lives.

    • For one, I'm not judging. I'm just making an observation. I don't believe there are any value judgments in anything I said. And two, I'm just trying to clarify the language, that is all. Clarifying the language gets us closer to the Truth... articulating arguments and putting them out there for scrutiny will only help make our future arguments better. So what I'm trying to say is that this subject matter pertains to me even though I'm straight and floating around on a rock that orbits a fireball.

  • Your right many women will claim to be heterosexual or bisexual so they can have the normal big wedding, marraige and kids all the while being gay then divorce taking the kids, house, savings, child support and alimony to set up with a chivk

    • No, women don't pretend they are straight just so they can have a big wedding. I'm sure it's not worth the hassle. Plus, you're saying all women are gay, which just does not jive with reality. Your response gets an F.

    • I said many women, and women do omly to decide a few years later that they've been living a lie and want to be with a woman and fuck their wife. Many men do the exact same. We call these people brave for being true to themselves but I call them cowardly for not being true to themselves sooner. Their partners are the brave ones after being made victims by these selfish people.

    • Father of the bride pays for the wedding. My only gay females friend's father loves his gay daughter and accepts her choices. Her fiance is actually bi, and her 2 year old son's father passed away. My friend gets kids and a big wedding, no man was screwed over, kid has two loving parents.

  • i actually agree with you on this. bisexuality doesn't seem like a real thing to me unlike how heterosexuality seems more realistic since it is real

    • Yes, trust your intuition. Have faith in yourself. I like your attitude. 😉

    • thank you :)

    • So, these people aren't really having sex at all? It's real. And raw, and filled with hot wet steamy passion, just like whatever sex you wish you were having.

  • Homosexuality itself is a myth. There are two types of sexualities, dominant and submissive. Women are submissive, men can be dominant or submissive.

Gay men are either hypersexual dominant men, or submissive men. If you surveyed gay men, many of them wouldn't be unattracted to women. It's just that men are more available, so they end up exclusively dating men.

    • Interesting response. Thanks for shooting outside the box and actually making a great observational point.

  • you can never know for sure if another person's feelings are a myth or not.

    • You can observe a lot by watching.

    • so? you can't read minds by watching.

    • It's not necessary to read minds. You observe the end result. You take note of where people end up and with whom. Even if one could read minds, it would be useless. People's feelings, emotions, and desires are all over the map.

  • i am straight

    • Good comment.

    • @PancakeFury That comment just might win Best Answer. 🙃

  • Women are only attracted to other women, the only reason they go after guys is their money, because they often can't make enough on their own.

    • I don't know about that. When have you ever seen two women get along? They can't. They cat fight and backstab and enjoy watching each other fail.

    • I just said that to see how many downvotes I could get. I don't have much of an opinion, I think it's silly to tell other people what their sexuality is or isn't hence why I gave a troll response.

    • Yeah your downvotes are pretty good !
