Boyfriend had a secret Snapchat account; why?

My boyfriend has always been very honest with me, but today I he asked me to put away his old phone that he claims he turned on for old passwords. When the phone lit up, there was two Snapchats from girls usernames I never saw before. Curious, I opened the snapchat, and it was him just masturbating on his story and snapping other girls. I don't understand why he had to have another Snapchat and snap girls pics behind my back? He said he stopped when we started dating but then started again about 3 months into the relationship.
He claims none of this pleases him and that he does it out of boredom, but I got very upset at him and he started crying. He says he's going to delete the account and break the phone, but how can I trust him to not do it again?

Seems like a genuine guy to me, make him delete it. If he was crying I'd give him a chance. He know he fucked up, and it upset you based of my similar situation. It won't happen again

He's lying and manipulating you to get what he wants in my opinion. If he has a secret account and is snapping/MBing with other women I would consider that cheating. My two cents.
