Can a healthy old man still get proper erection and impregnate a young woman?

Can a healthy old man 55+ or so man get proper erection and even impregnate a young fertile woman?

He can surely get erection and have proper sex , but I highly doubt he would be able to impregnate a young woman

  • I don't know if you know who Tony Randall was - he was an actor who did some movies and a lot of Broadway, but is best known for playing Felix in the TV show version of The Odd Couple from the late 70s. He married his assistant when he was 70 and she was 29, and two years later, she gave birth to his kid.

I went to school with a guy whose dad was in his 70s when we were in grade school and my dad was in his mid 30s. His mom was his dad's third wife and he had 5 adult half-siblings and a younger sister.

It's certainly true that not all men can father children into their 70s, the only reason it's not far more common is because they are usually with women who are past menopause at that age. If you gave every 65 year old man a 25 year old wife, it's likely that 2/3 or more of them would be pregnant within a year.

    • Seriously 😳? Most 65 year old men would be able to impregnate young women easily?

    • This surprises you? Certainly there is a decline of male fertility on average as you age, but, yes, most 65 year old men are capable of impregnating a woman. There is also an increasing chance of birth defects as men get older, but we're still talking fairly low percentages.

  • Men loose fertility potential too over the years, but nowhere close to women after 45, if he had 150 millions at 25 he still might have 75 million at 55, still more than enough to be normally fertile.

  • Yeah, the biggest factors would be not having any reproductive issues to begin with, as they won't get better while you age, and not having anything like prostate cancer come up. It'd be pretty tough to knock a woman up if you can't get off anymore. Personally I think that'd be worse than being impotent and hope it's something I never have to stand at the crossroads of.

  • Age is only relative and ultimately just a number. Proper nutrition and diet can make a 55-year-old more capable of sex and impregnation than a 20-year-old. Especially with the poor diet that most 20-year-olds are consuming nowadays! It’s constantly said that men start to have erectile issues in their 30s. But I’ve heard of men having those issues in their early 20s. At the same time, I’ve never had those issues and I’m in my mid 40s now. In fact I have stronger erections and much higher sex drive now than I did in my 20s. It’s because I’m more conscious of what I eat. Men should never have erectile dysfunction no matter what their age. If they do, that’s the first sign that the body is having a more underlying issue dealing with arterial problems which will eventually lead to heart attack and stroke. It’s very aggravating. For men who do have erectile issues, they are told to take Viagra and other Band-Aid drugs when instead they should be looking at their arterial health and managing their intake of healthy fat vs processed foods that cause LDL cholesterol and calcification of the arteries. Same thing goes for sperm production, semen production, and overall sex drive. Men should be checking their testosterone levels and intaking supplements and other high nutrient value foods which stimulate the production of natural testosterone internally. Diet is literally the key to everything. You can either feel/look old and incapable of good healthy fulfilling sex, or you can feel and perform like a teenager. An older man should more than be capable of keeping up with a younger more fertile woman

  • Yes but it's a high chance that the child will have issues like autism and adhd. And can give the mother issues during pregnancy like miscarriage, pre eclampsia, diabetes so it's not worth the risk of passing on issues to the mother and child

    • Why would it give issues to the mother too? I can understand that the child might have issues, but why mother?

    • So , what's the maximum age of a man till he can impregnate a young woman and the child will be healthy too?

    • The dad's DNA is what makes a lot of important things like the placenta so it can cause those issues

  • Depends on the guy, but as long as they are healthy their swimmers typically stay healthy.

And we prefer to be called "aged" rather than "old", similar to a fine wine or whisky.😜

    • You do get erection and have strong desire for sex even now?

    • Absolutely. Still wake up with morning wood all the time.
