Can I put lube in *before* a date? (read details)

So, I'm having sex with this guy, and when we are together I get suppppper turned on but I don't get very wet. It doesn't necessarily hurt buttttt... Even when I am alone and have the sensation of a frickin vibrator on my clit-I don't get that wet. (so don't say I probably am wet enough, I just don't know what's normal... cause I can feek it when I touch myself... pretty much just dry. ) Unless the guy brought it up, I've never been comfortab;e bringing lube or toys up. Do not try to convince me otherwise, please just answer the question. If I knew I was going to be hanging out with him would it be okay (as in safe) and would it work to put a bunch of KY lube in and around my vagina so that when we have sex I am sufficiently wet?

  • Eeew. It's gonna be so uncomfortable and will most likely dry up or sink in before you get to that stage. Just by a really small bottle and keep it in your purse, H2O ones are really discreet looking, not that I carry them around but no one would instantly think it's lube if they saw it, plus the raspberry one tastes quite nice for lube!   • Depends how long befor. But try a thick water baised lube sorta like one thats ment for anal as some last longer that normal lube. I would only try it with water baised as others might not be condom or toy safe.

  • honestly, you shouldn't do it before, it wouldn't be confortable and he would notice. I'm not even sure if it would last that time. It just doesn't sound like a good idea.

    Really, it might be best to extend foreplay a bit longer + if the vibrator gets you wet, then bring it out for foreplay

  • It will only make a mess. You want to make sure you use a water based lube and they don't stay slippery for long periods. If you haven't already, I'd suggest you consult a GYN to see if there's something to be done. I'm betting there is but it may take consulting a few docs to find the right one.

  • If you put it in before, it will just leak out before you even get to sex. If you are not mature enough to bring up lube and toys you are not mature enough to have sex. And don't tell us again that you are 21. You could be 40 and still not be mature.

  • Why not let him help you with it as part of foreplay?
