Can masturbating too much desensitize your penis?

I can't cum from sex or blowjobs. Is my penis desensitized from too much jerking?

  • No, from everything I just read on this (and asked my mom, a doctor), it’s a myth! If you are able to ejaculate (which is a reflex to stimulation) the only thing stopping you ejaculating during sex is psychological. You need a therapist who specializes in sexual dysfunction. (Also as I said, my mom is here, and she confirmed it that while excessive masturbation in men COULD cause a condition called “Prostatitis” which is an inflamed prostate, without a physical injury to the penis, it should make zero difference whether the stimulation is manually, or from vaginal sex. Whereas women can eventually desensitized the clitoris due to over-use of a vibrator, even that is extremely rare!) I hope this helps.

    • Damn you know your shit lol. Im dumbfounded 😂

    • @Still-alive Well, to be honest… Dr. Google, and Dr. Mom know their shit! But the vibratory desensitization of clitoral nerves… that was all me! But hell, I’ll take any compliment I can get, thanks hun!

    • Yes take the compliment and like it! 😤 Please 😊😅

  • For men, I don't think it's possible. Nevertheless, I have encountered a significant number of women who avoid using vibrators and claiming that it desensitized them. I have no way to comment with authority, but I suppose it is possible for women to lose sensation due to masturbation.

    • I can only cum from masturbating sex or oral sex doesn’t even get me close

  • do you have an erection but can't cum?
if you don't have or maintain an erection, than you might have another problem.
i think emotions play a big part of sex for me. it is just not the same as only physical sensation. you have to build emotions before sex, have a forplay etc

  • It shouldn't, unless you're doing something unusual. Have you tried having your partner stimulate you in the way you do yourself?

    • That wouldn’t really work

    • That might be your problem, then. It's entirely possible to overstimulate yourself into insensitivity. It's more common in women, but far from unique to them. The usual treatment is to retrain your body to respond to a different stimulus; stop what you're doing and go back to the usual way- and stick with it. Eventually, your body will adapt.

    • Thats what I've been told but I wouldn’t get any sexual release for months if I do that.

  • it can. sometimes furious masturbation leaves bruising, scarring and mental blocks

  • I think it can especially if only done one way

  • Desensitize might be the wrong word, but it is known to lead to ED when it comes to intimacy with women.

  • probably

  • it can have an effect yes
