Of course they can, just look at these examples.

# 1 look at t he price of majority of art work, they costs so much yet many of them aren't better than what a child in a kindergarten would draw but someone with connection and popularity said its a great piece and bam prize is up just cuz someone ''important'' said so

# 2 look at the salary of people. football stars, nba etc how much they get paid and how much people who work their ass off for 12-16h doing real physical labor get paid and the world considers that normal. I k now we can discuss popularity of sports, products etc but none of that changes they actual labor, those poor people work 5,10 harder than stars and they won't earn in their hole life how much someone in that sports earn in a month or just by signing a contract:Even if they play poorly and get cut off that money is still theirs. 0 logic in any of that

# 3 Look at the popularity of girls doing cam shows or what ever they are called, how much money people throw away on something so stupid just to watch a girl talk and make stupid faces. How many idiots in the world are buying those so called bath water that those girl bathed in. i mean WTF!.. there are many more examples but just cuz majority said something is right doesn't mean it is. Those with proper brain will know what is right or not. you judge for yourself what is and isn't right.
