Most people who get HIV get to know it later on. It has no symptoms, per se, but you'll feel like absolute crap just for catching a cold, and everything worse than that could be life threatening. The "only" thing HIV does is to turn down the immune system to a halt. You can grow wary of it, but to know it you can only go through testing. And if you have it, tough titty. Right now you're pretty much fucked.
But they are studying something against it, it would seem. Ironically, thanks to COVID. Let's see if it goes anywhere.

Yes, it can be acute HIV and take it's time replicating in the body. Thankfully one can get PEP meds for a few days after HIV exposure and not get it.

I remember the story of a girl just passing out while in a tub and not knowing until she went into the ED. She likely had it for months. It gets to a stage where the body just keeps replicating it, it gets larger in the body unless you get on meds. The drugs today get it down to a level over time that it can be undetectable, and not pass it on.

Uh... it’s very dangerous to have unprotected sex especially with people you don’t know. I think you would know if you had hiv or any other sti as there would be symptoms. You could always go to a clinic or something if you want

With unprotected sex you can have literally anything.

Also with things like oral sex you can catch a bunch of stuff including Syphillis.

Hepatitis is another bad one to get.
