Can you have sex the same day as laser hair removal (IPL)?

I'm getting IPL tomorrow on my bikini area and I was wandering if anyone has had sex the same day without side effects. I'd also like to hear about any negative side effects people did experience. For the record I have waxed and had sex on the same day in the past (I know it's not reccommended), I don't remember having any bad experiences with that besides the general sensitivity of the area.
