Cooking
I have mentioned this before, but in my experiences this rings true. I am not just talking about cooking for your lover while they sit on their ass and do nothing. I am talking about doing a team oriented activity together. It typically leads to sex for sure. But a cooking date also gets them used to the married environment. Where are the forks? Where are the knives? Who wears the pants in the kitchen?
Team Work or Creative Activity
Go to a wine and painting event. Team up as a couple and play a sport against another couple. The union is fun..the teamwork? It feels like something more than dating.
Married Life Chores
At some point once you start having sex and spending more time together, have your partner more invested. Be finishing up laundry when they arrive. "Hey, could you fold these towels with me?" After making a partner a meal, "Do you mind doing the dishes while I light candles?" You wake up the next morning after sex. "Hey, can you make the bed for me?" Do NOT order them around. Always being doing a chore yourself so it seems like a team work situation.
Study or Work Together
That's right. At some point down the line invite them over for no romance at all. "Hey, I have a late night work project but I would love to cuddle when I am done. Bring some work over for a study date." This is perfect for younger students. But at 33 years old I was invited to a study date just last night. She answered a work call while I was on my laptop. Then we went to bed and cuddled to sleep.
Get the person in situations where it feels like you are married.
