Did you know female condoms are a thing 🥴?

Yap, they are, and according to what I just read, they are more effective than male condoms. 😂
Have you heard about them before? 🤔

I don't know if this is true, tho. 🤔

So, if a female wears a female condom, and a male wears a male condom, is that extra protection? :o

  • Yeah known about them for years.

if you both wear one, the static generated will power the average couples mobile. Really handy when you tap off with someone on a night out, get a charge up for your mobile, sorted.

  • I have definitely heard of them but I have yet to meet a woman who has actually used one. They are not commonly used at all. That surprises me. I would think they would be more popular. I would like to try it with a woman but the women who I've dated in the past were not interested.

    • As per your update, they don't recommend that the female wear one, and the guy wear a male condom. I think the reasoning there is that there might be too much friction. So it is either the male or the female, but not both. This is going off past recommendations. I did not click on the link that you put on the update. What does the link show? I normally don't click on links.

    • Ahhhhh…that makes sense. 🤔 It is an article about why females should wear condoms. :)

    • I asked a question about this very thing, several years ago on here:

  • Yes, I have heard about them. But honestly I never really understood what the point was, because in the end if the guy is wearing a condom or the girl it probably feels the same. So isn't a lot easier for the guy to just use a condom than a girl? I mean it loos complicated to me, but I don 't really know.

I never been with a women using a female condom... but I assume it doesn't feel that much more different than guy using one. As far which is more effective I am sure we are talking about a fraction of a percent here.

  • I heard of them yes. they even showed us in health class but being more effective than the male ones is news to me

    • I vaguely remember my health teacher passing around a female condom for us to look at lol

  • nope... you should never use two condoms together no matter which ones, it increases the chances for them to tear, or get stuck and slip... one condom is enough, and it should be either but never both at the same time... lol

    • Gotcha. 😌

  • Many of those points are correct, however female condoms are not more effective at preventing pregnancy than male condoms. Female condoms are 95% effective while modern male condoms are 98% effective. Female condoms have been aroubd since the 80s too.
Also not all female condoms are latex free, while most are some are still latex, so you still beed to watch what you're buying. Also normal latex free condoms have been available for years. With regards to sensation, yes they are definitely better for the man, I'm not so sure about the wonans pleasure though.
I think this article is maybe a bit biased, male condoms are still classified as a safer form of birth control.

  • I've heard of them but never met a girl who confessed or disclosed that she used them. True story, I had a girlfriend who wanted me to use a French tickler on her. It had some weird alien with tentacles on the tip. It broke and the alien got lodged inside her. She was freaking out but I was laughing and thinking about having to explain to a Dr what was in there. Thank God I was able to pull it out after about 15 minutes. It was like trying to remove something from the board game Operation.

  • I've heard of them but I haven't used one.

  • I knew them but decided to not give any attention to them, since they are irrelevant to me now.
Will look into them when the time comes. But thanks for bringing the topic!

  • I've known about female condoms for quite a while. Never was with a woman who used one. A female condom takes longer to get on than a male condom, which makes spontaneity difficult. I understand they're also more expensive, and don't have the wide variety of types and sizes that male condoms have.

    • Female condoms are a one size fits all. 😂

    • @joygirl Isn't that a problem? I've been with different women and none of them are the same size

    • I have not used one before, so I don’t know. I guess that does sound like a problem. 🤔

  • Yea I knew since I was in middle school, did you just find out? 😂

    • Yea, kinda. *shhhh* 🚪🚶🏾‍♀️

    • Lmao

  • I did read about the existence of such devices, but never got the details. Thanks for sharing this interesting piece of information.

    • No problem! 💜

  • Yes, i have heard about them and seriously considered getting some because most would accomodate my girth. I did not see many good reviews and just stick with mysize 69 or pasante super king.

  • I have heard? yes.

    Seen irl or online? No

Did i know they work better than male ones? No

And i have heard that two condoms = getting torn n no protection... so if thats true, then one does ths job and two will break each other by rubbing to each other

  • I've heard about them but have never seen them or known any women that have used them.

  • I used one it makes noise but then again so are we make sure you do not Slide the side with it make sure your thing goes into the device and not into her. You got it for the health department for free.

  • I would think two condoms are better protection to protect getting pregnant these women no offense age 43 should be a shame not to use protection but with age, they risk getting pregnant, I know a woman right now is pregnant and 90 % of the time she is alone he is not there with her but she is age 43 and the woman I'm talking about, it's crazy and he is just as guilty for not protecting her.

  • Yes, I only use them to store spare batteries while hiking as they are waterproof.

  • I did know this. I never heard that they more effective though

  • yeah.. knew but never seen

  • They've been available for quite a while.

  • I've heard of them but not seen or used one.

I don't think they would be more protection, they might rub through and break.
