Did you know that virgins can have STDs too?

I’ve seen many guys on GAG say they prefer virgins because they’re disease free, but you can contract STDs without penetrative sex or any kind of sexual contact. You can get crabs by sharing a towel with someone else and in rare cases people have contracted herpes just by kissing. STDs can be passed from mother to baby during childbirth and between people sharing IV needles. And of course, diseases can be transmitted via oral sex. Virgins are still less likely to have STDs than non-virgins but you shouldn’t assume a girl is clean because she’s never been vaginally or anally penetrated. Still ask for an STD test to be safe.

  • A friend of mine contracted HIV and HepC from contaminated Factor 8:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contaminated_haemophilia_blood_products

    • Damn

    • They only STARTED pasteurizing blood products recently and in other countries because it's cheaper they still sell the riskier blood Factor products if that doesn't from hating your heart I don't know what does

  • Yes, but the odds are way in favor of a virgin being disease free than anyone else. As 53% of adults have an STD. I am a virgin and almost got an STD from work; as I had blood splattered in my face. I had to get tested several times afterwards. Fortunately I came up clean everytime and my work paid for the testing.

  • And people LIE, too!! Makes disease tracking much harder, when he says he didn't with her, and she said she is a virgin, but DNA sequencing PROVES the same HPV he has is in her vagina!!

    • There is no reliable HPV test for men:
      www.cdc.gov/std/hpv/stdfact-hpv-and-men.htm

There is a highly unreliable test using vinegar and black light that is basically eyeballed and given the answer "maybe?"

  • I believe it's possible, just never given it a thought.

  • Yeap

  • Well, I also am not interested in dating a druggie. No offense. And you should bring your own towel, people.

    • You don’t have to be an addict to get an STD from a shared needle. Needles can be reused for piercings, tattoos, and even medically sanctioned drugs.

    • Um, no; medical needles are not reused. That's why we have a thing called a sharps disposal box. But regarding piercings and tattoos, I don't do either of those for that exact reason.

    • Some medical professionals admit to reusing needles. It’s gross and highly discouraged but a very small number of them still do it.

  • Yes I know. STDs can be transmitted at birth, needle poke and in the case of herpes skin contact. However much less likely in virgins

    • Links in my reply to 888theGreat.

  • Any virgin can have an STD

  • Pretty sure I have genital warts

    • How?

  • Only through blood , but I don't believe the others.

  • Yeah, sexual contact is only a mode of transmission among others

  • Lol k 🤣

  • I've never done anything like that but I'm a virgin and clean.
