It's mostly fake, but to be fair, it's also true that most of those shows are set in major urban centers where there are TONS of options and where people tend to date more people more often. It's much harder to date like that in the suburbs, and even harder in rural areas, because of the lack of other suitable people nearby.
It's still also true that it's fiction, and it's designed to be entertainment, not a documentary, so you aren't supposed to take it as fact. On TV, you also have to be hot to be cast, for the most part, and there will be 50+ guys and/or girls who audition for a one-episode guest-starring role, and the one who gets picked will almost always be among the best-looking. Real life doesn't work that way at all, unless you are a wealthy celebrity yourself.

The big bang theory they were suppose to be biggest nerds and losers ever yet they had so many girls. Raj at some point was dating multiple girls in same time, Leonard had so many girls also a beautiful young girl like Alex having a crush on him? Yeah no.
Yeah Big Bang Theory lost its original plot so soon, the guys desperately trying and being awkward with girls was what the show was about, not to mention being extremely smart and nerdy. They just lost their touch and they humanised everyone

Sign Up Now!I am gonna use how i met your mother for this one Look at barney he was rich and attractive so him having lots of girls was 100% realistic then marshal he stayed with his collage lily which is also realistic, then Ted he went through the realism of having no one to another girl who seemed perfect but wasn't and kept thinking maybe he found the 1 which again is realistic. So i would really say it depends how well the show.

No, it’s entertainment. The writers can write that a guy gets laid 3 times per episode if he thinks it’s funny and it makes the audience laugh... doesn’t mean there is a bit of truth in it.

It’s a work of fiction and also from a different era. Post aids scare pre tinder American cities with lots of nightlife were a pretty good time for okay looking guys with decent social skills to go out and meet girls.
