Do condoms make you feel nothing during sex? Or does it depend on the girl you're having sex with?

My boyfriend says condoms take away all feeling from his dick when we're having sex. In fact, his dick slowly loses its hardness if he keeps the condom on too long. However, he's very aroused when we do it without any condoms.

What concerns me is that he has always had sex with condoms before me, and although he claims it was the same case with everyone else, he did cum at one point (after a long time) with the others. With me, he doesn't cum when he's wearing the condom and only cums when he's going bareback. Is this my fault? Do I not arouse him enough? How do I fix this?

  • The same is true for my boyfriend, he will get soft if he keeps a condom on, and he gets soft fairly fast, like within 5 minutes. If we're not using a condom, he can stay hard for quite a while.

Condoms take away sensation, it probably doesn't provide enough for him to easily stay hard, they probably exaggerate when they say they feel nothing though. But because it takes away sensation, it makes sense that it took him a really long time to cum with others, perhaps with you, you guys just didn't go as long? This isn't your fault and he's with you , he's having sex with you, you arouse him. How to fix it, go on the pill or IUD or implants or etc? Or just get him off with a blow job.

  • I definitely think some guys can’t cum with them. I had sex with a guy on a date. We used a condom and he tried and tried but couldn’t cum and got frustrated. Finally we just took it off and went without. It only took like 2 minutes before he pulled back out and was cumming.

  • Have you tried extra thin condoms? Lamb skin condoms are also an option if you're not worried about STDs. They can offer a more natural sensation. You could also consider adding a drop of lubricant inside the cobdom, which can help increase sensation.

  • There's a huge difference in sensation for me.

Imagine sitting down to eat your favorite dinner, but having to wear a balloon on your tongue. Sure, you still get to eat, and the food fills your belly and provides nourishment, but how much less enjoyment would you experience? It's like that.

Having said that, condoms are a NECESSARY evil unless you're in a monogamous relationship and are both tested and using another form of birth control. Necessary, but still evil.

  • Ultra sensitive work better for me but it's just not the same as nothing. I use a bit of lube on my dick BEFORE I put the condom on n it def feels more natural. But a lotta times we just dont use em. Most times without a condom i pull out before i cum. STD's are not a prob... but other than condoms no other option for b/c where i live. But i plan on marryin this girl some day... hopefully we dont have to early... cuz she gets pregnant.

  • We play without and use it for the ease of cleanup during the last 5 minutes.

  • Yes, condom take away all feeling.

  • ok, I'm not gonna lie I tried sex without using a condom once and it felt good as hell but I won't do it again just simply because I don't want to take no risks that's just me.

  • Condom usage can block the erogenous sensation in both partners, compared to bareback sex. A condom is held tightly to the penile skin and diminishes the delivery of stimulation of friction during intimacy.

That's why I stopped using condoms a long time ago because of this very reason.

  • it has been proven that condoms do not take away all feeling, however, it does decrease the amount of stimulant the penis gets by about 2 fold during sex. Therefore, it is most likely because of the condom.

  • Yeah they feel okay with the condom on but eventually we lose sensation then start getting soft

  • Yeah, I hate condoms. Too bad we need them.
