When I responded that I was not going to continue dating her because of this, she then told me that she was just joking before and that she is a virgin and just testing me out to see my response.

What am I supposed to believe?

As long as I lived in 'their' house, it was not possible to date a girl without them noticing it and if they disapproved of her, they immediately told me to stop hanging out with her. This actually happened when I had already GRADUATED from University. Only when I moved out and lived hundreds of kilometres from them was I remotely able to think of dating.
