You can imagine having sex with a friend, without actually wanting to do so in real life. Likewise, if your friend is good looking (or just an awesome person) it's not weird to fantasize about them, both genders do it.
Nature is all about reproduction. Without it, we would not exist. Nature made women caring and emotional so they can look after kids, and it made men sex driven so as to ensure offspring. When a man sees a woman the first thought is "I'd do her", before the brain kicks in.
