Do guys actually think trying for pitty sex works?

Pitty sex is when a guy whines or complains to a girl trying to get her to sleep with him (poor me). He hopes she will feel bad enough or pitty him to the point she sleeps with him.

LOL. That crap is probably successful far less than 1% of the time, and it mostly just makes guys look weak as hell. The vast majority of the time, it virtually assures that there won't be any sex. Or respect.

They're probably trying the same approach with so many women on and off-line with "success" once or twice a month/year simply because a girl's horny, and he has a pulse that they don't bother to learn anything different.

I mean, my standard approach when I was looking for one night stands and hook-ups was to start out at one end of a bar, then spiral through the whole place hitting on every attractive woman I saw until someone seemed interested. No rhyme, reason or grand strategy besides given enough opportunities, some of them will go the way I want. Really I just said whatever the hell came to mind, and it worked often enough that I didn't bother learning any different way to approach women.

The biggest difference I see is that their approach lacks confidence, so the chances of them having sex, and especially any kind of relationship is drastically lower, while mine has confidence, and much higher numbers making sex much more likely, and relationships probably as remote a possibility as the pity fucker.

Really, whatever approach has worked before for getting laid, most men and women will believe to be equally valid in every situation even as they get older. So if right now, as a dad approaching middle age I try the same strategy that worked not so long ago, I would fail a lot more than I used to without adjusting to reality. The pity fucker might have gotten to grope some titties or get a handjob or two in high school from a friend with that approach and has still failed to realize that it wasn't a good strategy then, and definitely isn't now.

Does that make sense? It's how I make sense out of odd behavior I see other people doing most of the time. It worked at one point, so keep hammering that square peg at the round hole and surely it'll work again.

I can see it working if sex was a Really casual thing for the Woman.

I’d do it if A) sex didn’t mean much to me I e being in love didn’t matter
and B) I didn’t have to be attracted to the person. Bc pity isn’t hot.

I’ve met a lot of women for whom sex is just a sport, so I doubt they’d mind. But a lot isn’t majority or even a string minority. I’m sure relatively speaking not a lot of women Would but out of billions... still can be a lot.

Some guys are desperate and there are a few women scattered around who will give sympathy sex to a guy. I've never asked for sympathy sex but I have heard a few women say that they did that for a guy friend, for instance, after his mother died.
