Not with random women, no.

I can always tell when my partner is, though. Not necessarily because of anything she says, or does, though. We discovered years ago that I get almost irrationally horny around her, when she's ovulating.

I have a high sex drive, anyway, but when she's ovulating, it's a whole different level, and comes out of nowhere. It's been like that for years, and it happens every month. I'm sure it's pheromones, even though science is skeptical whether human pheromones are strong enough to affect someone. Hers certainly seem to work on me.

There are no outward signs of a woman ovulating, though there may be some changes in her mood. If you take a woman's temperature over several months and do the math to determine ovulation from the onset of her period each month, you might be able to detect a slight change in her temperature during ovulation, and use that to determine when she is most fertile. Not really and definitely not physically. Unless they are your partner and you know their behaviour intimately and you can see a change in their mood and libido. Many, but not all women become more horny during the approach to ovulation. If you can pick up on that and recognise it as behaviour from previously events then maybe. But if its an unknown women or someone you don't know well then no, we would have no way of knowing.
