Do humans get bored after having sex with their partner many times?

Is this human nature?
I've seen emotional and intense couple getting bored of each other after a year or two of constantly having sex.
After some time, one of them will break up and give stupid reasons.
Then they will have sex with new people and compare the performance of previous partner's.

Isn't It about love anymore?
Well I saw the love in the beginning, but
what suddenly happens over few years between these so called romantic and emotional couples?

  • Serial monogamy is not true monogamy, you don't expect a guy that had sex with you for many years to be excited about it as if he never done it before, but true monogamous people know how to deal with it, people who always look for "new excitements" are usually not monogamous, also even if sex a no big deal anymore don't mean that a guy or girl should totally lost interest in it, especially if they truly monogamous.

  • Being in a relationship requires work communicating what you need and listening to what they need. A good imagination goes a long way. I love role play sex and it has endless opportunities.

  • So my wife and I share this same odd interest. We both have been turned on by cars that run rough and shake or vibrate a lot when they idle, for pretty much our entire lives. (Both our mothers drove cars that shook and stalled a lot. We assume that's why) So we'll find a car that we like, buy it, then sell it for something else when we get tired of it.
So its not the greatest answer, but its what keeps things fun for us!

  • I think its more that sometimes people smother eachother too much. I think you need to give eachother to miss one another. I go away for work a bit and i know after some time away im always craving my partner when i get home.

I have friends that work 9-5 and spend 100%of their free time with their partners and yea they seem a bit over it.
