Not necessarily, I think trying to label everything is just wrong. Guys you describe definitely exist, they are called 'male subs' or as you say 'sissies', not 'male lesbians'. By definition a lesbian cannot be male. Furthermore, sexual orientation and whether you prefer to play a dominant or submissive role in the bedroom are two separate things that you appear to be confusing.

You don't need a sociological studies to determine a lesbian cannot be male, just a dictionary. I don't know if you thought I was being deragatory but 'male sub' and 'sissy' are both terms used commonly by submissive males to describe themselves, so I'm just stating facts there too. The fact that there are straight submissive men, straight dominant men, straight submissive women, dominant straight women, submissive lesbians, dominant lesbians, submissive gay men and dominant gay men would logically suggest that whilst being related insofar as both being part of a person's sexual psyche, sexual orentation and domination / submission preference are different things. Everything I said comes from well established fact and does not need to reference sociological studies, and your assertion that they are 'patriarchal societal explanations' is made without justification or basis.
