Do married men discuss their sex lives with their friends?

I've always wondered what men talk about

Anyways i asked my husband this. He said no, it's not like boasting about casual hook ups. It's expected when you're married so not that interesting to talk about. Plus it's more intimate and private when it's your wife or girlfriend

Superb Opinion

  • What happens between my wife and I stays between us. I see no reason to discuss it with my friends. If anything, it would be like a teenage boy bragging about his sex exploits. Even in my hookup days I never talked about any particular woman. When asked about my sexual experiences, my reply was always in general terms. I'm not insecure so there's no need to feed my ego with such talk. And my friends apparently think like me, they never talk about their sex life.

  • Myself, and most of the guys I know, do not talk about it, no.

Generally, we just don't want to discuss our girlfriend/wives and sex, because it's not something we want other men to know. It's private, between us, and our girl.

Purely based on my own experience, I've noticed that women talk about it with their friends much more openly than guys do with our friends.

Although I'm sure there are plenty of exceptions among both men and women.

  • I think it depends on the man. Some talk about it and some don't. I know my husband and his friends talk about sex like it's super casual to them

What Girls & Guys Said

  • Rarely, unless she did something really banging the night before and we want to know if they've tried it, or if we have to explain why we're walking funny.

  • I have not. I save that for my therapist.

  • I never have... that is more like something high school boys do while jerking off in the locker room about sex they never had... and want to make their home-boys jerk off too

  • I am sure the sleazy ones do it.

  • Not really unless there's problems involved. It feels tacky as adults to discuss it for any other reason.

When we were younger there would be bragging, but we never got into details.
