When you look at evolutionary biology studies, such as Singh (1993) and many subsequent (google 'studies WHR'), they tell us that the most attractive thing about a woman's body is the difference between her waist and hip size. That is, a low waist-to-hip ratio, i.e. a small waist relative to hip size (I say relative because it's about proportion, not actual size).
A low WHR gives the in-and-out shape that is stereotypically associated with a woman's body, as opposed to the straight up and down look of a man's figure. For example, this actress in the 70s:

This is as opposed to a straight body shape, where there is no defined waist, i.e. the waist does not curve inwards, and then the hips flare out. For example, Cameron Diaz below, and Kate Upton. Although the latter has very large breasts, she still has a very straight body.
The point I'm trying to make with this post is this: it seems, in today's world at least, men don't care about the actual shape of the woman's body, they don't care about the waist-to-hip curve, the waist to hip ratio that the studies say men all find attractive. It seems that most men care about large breast size, as long as the woman is slim, or relatively slim, depending on his tastes. There are lots of celebrities, porn stars and men's magazine models who have a straight body, but just very large breasts (whether real or fake.....)
So, what do you think? Do guys these days not actually care about the shape of a body, the WHR? I would be interested to know your opinions...

Kate Upton looks weird to me. It's like her belly button is in the wrong place.
I think Kate upton is the exception. I don't like her weird midsection or her height, but she's ok above the waist.
What the media thinks is sexy is quite often not what most men think is sexy.
None of that should matter at all. It should only matter what the face looks like. If a girl had the ideal body preference but her face is ugly, she should never be picked. I know of a guy who picked a girl just because her body was his ideal but he wasn't initially attracted to her face. That's not fair at all. There are girls who deserve him better than some fugly butterface. The body never matters. Only the face.
Kate Upton is WAY hotter than the first two girls. She has wide hips but doesn't look like she's starving.
Why does it matter who cares about? People are attracted to all sorts. Not all minds think alike.
People are built differently and no one has any control over it.
Are you saying that people who aren't built in the shape of the ideal in your mind don't deserve to be found attractive?

I think both definitely matter. While Kate Upton has freaking spectacular boobs, I would agree that her waist / hip area doesn't look very good and isn't particularly attractive. But like everyone else who finds her hot, I'm too busy staring at that incredible chest! And on the off moments my eyes can focus on anything else, they tend to draw up to her very nice smile. But OMG, those tits! lol!

I never did. I don't like fat girl's but I like strong study ones who look like they can hold up a huge pair of tits without back pain.

I think the amount of women who get plastic surgery and the amount of transwomen who get plastic surgery that attract men say that men aren't as biologically inclined as we think. Men are very much so influenced by porn and society norms.
I prefer smaller everything, including hips.
