Do Multiple Orgasms Really Exist For Girls?

I personally don't think so. That's why this is anon! I know there may be hate on this. There has been a huge debate and everything all over the internet about women faking orgasms right? Now books and articles have come out...so guys, why do you think women would be any more honest about having multiple orgasms?

When an orgasm happens for me, I can feel muscle spasms and my muscles constrict down there. I also feel really tired after. Even after a few minutes when the muscles loosen, there's no sensation really anymore. I can feel, but there just isn't pleasure. My body needs a good hour to get aroused again. You could say that's individual, but why would women's bodies be different from men's?

Biologically, Why does the female orgasm even exist? I know the clit is there for pleasure, but to be orgasmic...I think that's pretty cool and interesting...but still, why?

I have heard of even guys saying that they have multiple orgasms, but they hold off on ejaculation or they ejaculate multiple times within seconds of each orgasm. I have experienced both of these types myself. The second one can be intense, but the first....it just takes the edge off. It doesn't cause a pleasure spike for me. And it takes me much longer to reach my real orgasm for some reason.

So like I said, why would women's bodies function differently from men's? Before you leave hate please answer that question! Because....sex biologically isn't even meant for pleasure or to last long...

  • My observations are not scientific, but here goes.
    My best girl usually has come-and-done orgasms just like mine. She does not come directly from intercourse, but oral well timed into a quick mount up will result in an orgasm that happens during intercourse and since i am a hair trigger, we have actually come together, which is as good as legend says it is. But after she comes, she does not want to be touched sexually... just cuddled. But she also has what I have read describes as "rolling orgasms" which are probably a single orgasm with several "surges" and "ebbs" in between. I get these from oral and they can last 5-10 minutes. They are a rollicking good time. You have to be prepared to ride them out and have a breathing strategy for when she holds the back of your head to keep those surges coming.

I mean, I hope I don't actually HAVE to explain that comment... but, as just one example: Almost every guy can be brought to climax by going harder! harder! faster! faster! once the right kind of thing is happening (and mb slowing down once he's most of the way through the climax). The vast majority of women, on the other hand, will fall right off the orgasm train if you keep switching up the tempo on us. Etc.

  • A woman's body would function differently than men because.. we're different sexes. Men don't fall pregnant, they fertilize. So that, right there, is a huge reason why men's bodies would function differently. They NEED to reach climax to ejaculate sperm and allow a woman to fall pregnant. A female orgasm serves no significant purpose in terms of conception, and is more to serve as positive reinforcement and give her a bigger motivation to continue having sex and fall pregnant at least once, ideally more times.

  • This is an odd, yet interesting question. I'm wondering as I waded through this posting what possessed the writer to believe there are absolutes when it comes to orgasms. I know for a fact and through my own personal experiences a girl can have multiple orgasms, because while males are biologically designed to expel their seed in one, powerful, burst, a female's biology is designed around lubrication and preparing the body to accept such seed and speed it along to the egg awaiting in the womb for fertilization.

    And the best possible way to achieve this end, is to make sex as pleasurable as possible. Not to mention, it is a way to alleviate the discomfort and pain the female is going to feel through once she's pregnant. Meaning, why would a girl want to get pregnant for no other purpose than to have children if sex wasn't something so mind-blowingly enjoyable to make the girl have it again and again and again, despite the consequences of getting pregnant and the pain associated with it. Therefore, a woman can have multiple orgasms and her body is stimulated far beyond what a male would feel, and in this way, in my perspective it makes up for all the discomforts later.

    • A woman faking an orgasm has less to do with biology and more to do with other variables such as their ideal of attraction, why they are having sex in the first place, and the skills of the one they're having sex with. Biologically speaking, a female is capable of having multiple orgasms. Now whether or not she's brought to a point where she can achieve these is a whole different discussion in my point of view.

  • Just because you can't orgasm multiple times doesn't mean all women can't. That's like saying you can't squirt, so therefor all women can't squirt. As far as who has better orgasms, I'd like to think there isn't a clear winner. I can have multiple orgasms simultaneously and in succession, and they are fricken amazing, but then there are also guys who have severe E. D. Just like some women can have multiple orgasms, and then there's like 10% of women who have never experienced one! Just goes to show everybody is DIFFERENT!!! Yes women DO fake their orgasms, some more than others, but some women definitely can have multiple orgasms. You said it yourself, the soul purpose of the clit is for pleasure. It's literally nothing but a bunch of nerves. Why do women have orgasms? There are a couples theories. It's a reward for having sex, therefor increasing the frequency of intercourse and making babies. Another theory says it's a biological by-product of male orgasms, kinda like how men have nipples because women do. Men don't need to have nipples, but we do anyways, just like women don't need to have orgasms, but they do anyways. But I'd also like to look at it this way. Why are there orgasms at all? For men or women? Personally, I think it's solely for pleasure. Women can get pregnant without orgasming, and guys can actually ejaculate without having an orgasm. They're two different things. Orgasms happen in the brain, ejaculation happens in the prostate and testicles. Why do our bodies function differently? Well, you're a girl and I'm a guy. That's why.   • Well, seeing as how I had multple orgasms last night, I'd have to disagree with you. :-) Specifically, I had three separate orgasms within about 20 minutes of each other, two during foreplay and a third during intercourse. No doubt about it.

  • Multiple orgasms are indeed real but there are also different types of female orgasm.
    You are having a clitoral orgasm and that orgasm is short, sharp, and localized to the genital area. There is some recovery time required which changes from girl to girl.
    Vaginal orgasms are longer, softer, and full body and you can have MANY of those with a good partner.
    A g-spot orgasm is a build up and release and those can be done over and over again as well.

  • Yes!!! My husband can give orgasm after orgasm after orgasm and so on. During one 30 minute session of sex I can have 3. Sometimes he spends 1-3 hours just doing things to me and I orgasm so much! One time I had an hour long orgasm when he was rubbing and licking my clit.

  • Women are constructed differently than men and your experiences and training/education/learning are different. so why would you expect women to respond exactly as would men?

    Actually, there is so much variability between the sexual responsiveness of women that it is no surprise that some women claim to never orgasm, some women have single orgasms, and some women have multiple orgasms. I have had approximately 20 partners over my lifetime. Some of then could orgasm quickly and several times in succession, most of them could orgasm at least once during an encounter, but some needed 20-25 minutes of direct clitoral stimulation before having an orgasm, and some could never orgasm at all. I have seen enough women have multiple orgasms and I have heard enough women say that they have that experience. Yes, Virginia, there are multi-orgasmic women.

    • To answer your question I meant the orgasm and refractory period. After muscles spasm, why wouldn't they need time just like how guys do? Guys don't usually vary in how they orgasm. And natural sex is meant to be very short so women orgasming at all is pretty interesting.

    • Men need time to regenerate the components of seminal fluid which are released at ejaculation. Women do not have a corresponding function.

    • Solid point! But... after I orgasm I can feel the muscles down there constrict. After they get back to normal a few minutes later, there's no pleasure feeling anymore. the arousal takes time to build back up. I don't see why that'd be uncommon for women. Natural sex is meant to make kids, so once he cums the body would be focusing on pregnancy I'd think.

  • I used to cum one and done. After 30 I started spraying and ejaculating. After 40 I started having at least 3-4 orgasms. Around 48 years old I discovered anal orgasms that caused spraying and/or squirting. Interesting thing this year is I have an attentive lover and we discovered that I have 3 G-spots in the front of my vagina and 3 toward the back, lined up. And if he fingered the more superficial one I would start to orgasm, and he could then move his finger in another inch and set off the next one - then I would literally have one one top of another.   • Female orgasm exists most likely as an evolutionary leftover, since clitoral tissue is extremely similar to penile tissue. Even then, it does appear to aid in taking up sperm into the vaginal canal, so it may still have reproductive function.

    As for multiple orgasm, yes, they're real. I've had one once in my life. It's not always common, but it exists because women don't have a refractory period like men do. They can orgasm one after another.

    • I was saying you can have a refractory period... because after the muscle spas, well the muscle constricts and relaxes and then needs to recuperate.

  • Yes, according to many textbooks and case studies I did in college (minored in human sexuality.). Women can receive multiple orgasms. Though, the way of receiving multiple orgasms can differentiate between women. Most women orgasm multiple times through stimulation of the clitoris, and then some can orgasm multiple times through penetration.

    One study I followed throughout one of my courses. Was a study where 10 women were hooked up to multiple recording devices based on recording human pleasure centers. When a woman would orgasm, the devices would record the bodies reaction and then we would document on the overall response. Eventually we got to the point where we could measure whether a girl received an orgasm or not. 9 out of 10 women could orgasm around 3-5 times. While the 10th woman could only orgasm twice. These orgasms were recording within a 30 minute time frame.

    The female orgasm exists for a few reasons. One being the term "sperm upsuck". I'll let people google that. However, it hasn't been proven to be absolute fact and some sources have said to discredit it.
    Another is the need to facilitate the desire to have sex. Orgasms = pleasure = desire to have more sex = more babies (technically).
    There's a few other reasons as to why females orgasm, but the main goal is to perpetuate the procreation of the human race.

  • Women have more variety in sex than men. Men typically have 1 orgasm and sex is "good." For women, it can go from 0 orgasms, to multiple.

    This variety in orgasms is to serve as a litmus test in mating quality. It is more important for women, than men, to decipher mating quality, since reproduction is much riskier for women than men, so women want the best mates possible. Studies show that women orgasm more often with men who are funny, sexy, and/or rich.

    Having more orgasms signifies he is a good mate and encourages you to keep having sex with him.

    • Can you link to those studies? Seems a bit too convenient of a litmus test to me.

    • I had sex and an orgasim and sex wasn't good. Some men do enjoy other aspects of sex as well, not just the act itself.
