I've had a similar evolution over time.
I was never exposed when I was younger, but the thought of being seen in any state other than fully dressed was mortifying. I remember absolutely hating gym class because of changing in the locker room. I never used the shower.

Based on how many times you've posted some variation of this, it seems like that experience really affected you sexually, which I think happens to a lot of us.
