I don't think it necessarily affects the physical pleasure, but it's this barrier between you, and you can feel the rubber move and shift, which is gross. They don't stay in place.
Also, psychologically it's good to feel protected from disease and pregnancy, but it doesn't feel as natural, connected. Sex is always way better without it. But you have to be able to trust the person completely, and many are not trustworthy, fully honest.
There's no pain or physical irritation. It's just an annoyance to deal with it, especially incorporating it in the right timing. Plus, they can malfunction. But you don't have to worry about her sensitivity or pleasure, really.

It's a textural thing for me. Without it I feel more of him, his skin and some of his warmth. It just feels better without it to me. But it's necessary if you aren't on birth control or you and your partner haven't been tested
