Do you accept that there are only two genders?

I read a paper which discusses this very topic and it seems to me that it made a great deal of sense.

In nature, humans are born with either XX or XY chromosomes. There is no non-binary. You're one or the other. A male can put on a dress but He is still male. A female can dress butch but SHE is still female. And one can even change their genitalia, but it doesn't change their chromosomes.

You are what nature made you.

Agree?

  • Yes there is only 2 genders. But i think what they are trying to do, by sayomg there are more genders, is too have all these different types of people, to be accepted into our society.

Because long ago, gay people weren't accepted and it took society a long time to accept time.

People just wanted to be accepted for who they are, and what they want to do. We as a society have hard accepting anything that is different to us or the Norm.

I personally don't care about it, call yourself what you want, no big deal to me. It doesn't affect me.

But I won't be dating you if your a biological man, and turned yourself into a female.

  • Agree.
Gender is synonymous with biological sex. Admitting that there are only two sexes but claiming that there are multiple genders is pure nonsense. All the multiple types of LGBTQI+++ are not genders. They are just variations in sexual attitudes and preferences. Claiming that they are genders is just an attempt to gain special privilege and marginalize heterosexuality.

In the end, humans are a binary species.

    • Thanks for the MHO, MrShaun. :-)

  • Gender and sex are two completely different things. Gender identity is the personal sense of an individual's own gender, not based on their sex.

    • Gender and sex are the same thing and will forever be tied to an individual. Get your head out of your delusional ass

  • The reality is that there are only two genders which are synonymous in corresponding with a person’s sex. This is a universal law of nature with divine origins. That will never change no matter how society tries to manipulate it with this modern psychosis style thinking.

  • Doesn't matter whether I accept it or not. It is the absolute truth and only a far leftist could deny it.

  • No.

    1. you are confusing gender and sex.

    2. chromosomes are only one way to define sex, eg. another way would be to look at the gamete (sperm or egg cells), which is connected but not identical.

    3. even chromosomes are not binary, there are some exceptions, to that rule. Eg, there are people who are born with XY chromosomes but still have a mostly female body.

  • yes man and woman
the ones they are gender fluid, non binary or trans is just lives in an illusion their body is either male or female gender is not objective, it is subjective.

  • Yes. I don't talk to a schizophrenic's imaginary voices and I won't partake in the delusional behaviour of a man in a dress for the same reason.

It's the "Emperor's New Clothes". Nobody's prepared to tell these people they're mentally ill and get them therapeutic care in the case of adults and protect the children from the parents with Munchausen by Proxy if they're kids.

  • No. Biologically there are intersex so at least 3 genders. I don't fully buy in to the 150 plus genders there are supposed to be now. In that world I don't know what gender I'm supposed to be if I don't understand what each one is. I've always considered myself male, I've fathered children, but maybe gender 127 on the list might fit better, who knows

  • There is just two.

  • Agreed, male and female are the only genders, though chromosomes are not always just xx or xy, and It's more accurate to base it off of reproductive organs.

  • There are only two SEXES, I think. For all intents and purposes I'd say there are 3 genders: Male, Female and LookAtMe! That last one comes in various sub-genres, but at that point it doesn't really matter.

  • Yes, there are only two genders. Rational people understand that as a basic fact no matter how much mumbo jumbo some people use to brow beat others to agree with them.

In the end, the belief that someone is another gender may be caused by a form of schizophrenia.

  • "In nature, humans are born with either XX or XY chromosomes. There is no non-binary."

Umm, except some people are born XXY (Klinefelter's). There are also XY Girls (Swyer) and XX Boys (de la Chapelle).

  • Aren't elementary schools now responsible for educating children about the many genders you can choose from as you mature?

  • I am ok with whatever people are and never bothered me

  • Not really. In nature there are four genders: male, female, asexual, and hermaphrodite. Also in humans there are chromosomal anomalies. Though most die in utereo and the rest are almost always infertile. The determining factor in humans is the presence or absence of the SRY gene which is typically found on the Y chromosome. Though sometimes it can end up on the X chromosome during meosis.

  • While we are encouraged to believe there are only two 'distinct' sexes. It is in fact, not true. I believe approximately 1 in 100 births are 'intersexed', neither male nor female. These are generally not talked about and dealt with privately between doctors and families to 'clarify' a gender, usually by surgery.

Genetically, we are male or female, but even here there can be anomalies.

  • DEFINITELY AGREE

  • There always have been two genders and will remain that way until the human species exterminates itself
