no not at all. you can not control who you find attractive, you can control yourself and what you do but no way can you control your thoughts. you may see your mates wife and thing she is gorgeous, you wouldn't act on it, but you can't not think that they are nice, you just know that they are out of bounds.
i met someone to day walking the dog, she was very pleasant and pretty in my opinion, but i would act on it as she was married and had kids. but nothing stopping me from thinking she looked nice

No, you can't control that. You can change your general opinions after a few years, but it's not something we choose to do either, it's only based on relationships and environment.

No, I meant that it's out of our control what we like, but it can change over time. Think of it like food, I don't like fish, but maybe somewhere in the future I'll enjoy it. I can't simply force myself to eat fish every day until I like it, that is not how it works.
To a certain extent, yes. You can be flexible in who you find attractive. E. g. Dating someone who is taller or shorter than you prefer or someone who doesn't fit your ideal. However, if you have zero attraction for someone then I don't believe you can really change that.
