Probably not.. if a man wants to cheat he can find a prostitute.
Also because it is harder for men to get sex, they might get tempted more easily if they get the opportunity. I personally flirted with and kissed men in bars and so, only to realise they were taken when they said we couldn't go to their place because of their girlfriend.. or that we actually could because she was out of town xD..
I also had some I thought was genuinely into me, and build up a relations/getting feelings over time, which I would not have done had they told me they had a girlfriend earlier. It never came to physical cheating (only hugs and holding hands) but it was a type of emotional cheating I'd personally find very hurtful if it was my partner.
So in my experience some men are so bad at rejecting a flirt and take things too far. I had some of them tell me they went with it exactly because they so rarely had any woman show interest in them.
Plus, men are more into ONS and women more into getting to know each other before having sex.. cheating with people from your work/friend group is more risky than someone in a bar you'll never see again. Though, as said, there is also emotional cheating which women then maybe tend to do more than men.

@seinna Lol, that's one way to look at it if you are someone that is a narcissist but I believe the logic is that if it is more difficult for men to get sex then a man cheating is seen as an accomplishment while a women cheating is seen as more of a failure. The mistake most men make is attempting to compete sexually w/ women. Reality is more woman can get sex than men but more men can get long term relationships than women. In regardess to your second question I would ask is it ok for a man to beat up a woman? I can't answer whether it's "acceptable" or not because I can't speak on someone elses hypothetical relationship. Also seems like you misread.
