I totally believe that they had high testosterone and had more sex than current generation
One thing I find odd about our generation is the high number of people who will not tolerate pain or stress and choose to end things when their lives get tough. When I was a kid, people endured their problems no matter how traumatic or severe or difficult they were cause ending your life was out of the question and now it seems people who aren't even sick will end their lives out of loneliness or depression. I think there is a crises of loyalty in our present generation and the high number of divorces in Hollywood demonstrate this very well. People trade off those who fail to provide value and do not stick by their side through thick and thin. My cousin fell into this category, she became suicidal during the birth of her first child because the agony of child birth was too difficult for her. I'm not a psychiatrist and I don't have a medical explanation for it but I believe there is something different about our generation.
0 0 0 1They were happier. In the 1950's less than 1% got divorced now its 50%! There are more suicides now too. People were happy back then with strong families:)
0 0 0 0So true... And they had healthy life tooo... Women were strong as welll... men were so manly and alpha
Yes! Now a lot of women act like men and men act like women😑
I agree... The generation is changing

the generation of sexual age in the 1950s or people born in the 1950s who then would've come to sexual age in the 60s/70s
i don't think people having sex in the 1950s had better or more sex than us. society was far more conservative sexually. for many sex was still a means to reproduction and nothing more. if you had sex as a single person you were generally seen as a slut. we were hardly even aware of the female orgasm or erogenous zones in the 1950s. hell some believe women orgasming was a sign of a psychotic breakdown. today we are definitely more sexually adventurous and see sex as a pleasure act rather than an act of duty or something like that. so compared to people having sex in the 50s i think people today have more sex and enjoy it more

People who were born right around 1950, who are in their mid-seventies now, were in the heart of the sexual revolution. Talk to anyone who is say, around 75 right now. The stories that they will tell you would blow your mind. Unless they were really sheltered. They will tell you stuff like eating dinner late in a restaurant, talking to the waitress, and then agreeing to meet up at her place after her shift is over for a session of sex. Without ever having met before. It can sometimes be kind of annoying talking to these people because if they've been married for the last 50 years, they've been out of that loop, and they still think that it is that way when it is not.

5 16Well, they definitely didn't have to deal with all the crap that Washington and the corporate media, tech, etc, are pulling on us today.
1 0 0 0So true..
You mean like being arrested for not sitting on the back of a bus? Or having fire hoses turned on you? Having to go to separate schools? This traditional perfect life that people always talk about was only great for one group of people.
More sex? That can't be proven. I doubt it.
There's more birth control now and mote casual sex happening.
Were they happier? Who was happier? Minorities? Absolutely not. It sucked balls for them. White men were very very happy but everyone else not sp much. Especially people who weren't allowed in restaurants or had to drink out of separate water fountains.0 0 0 0I doubt they had more sex.
While there may be research on the testosterone thing, I haven't seen any and am less than convinced.
As for happier? Yes, in many ways they probably were.0 0 0 0No and no. Just differently.
0 0 0 0The boomers had more sex than Gen Z is having.
0 0 0 0For whatever reason, one generation of people thinks "times' were better than NOW, but every gen. and every person has many problems with when they grew up. Hard to say if it was better in the 1950's. although many people may think so.
0 0 0 0Following the ordeals of WW2 and the Depression, absolutely yes. But I would be dishonest if I didn't asterisk that Blacks and other minorities did not fare quite as well.
0 0 0 0I wouldn't be surprised if they did
0 0 0 0Definitely yes.
0 0 0 0yes I do
0 0 0 0I don’t know if that had more sex, but I’m sure their quality of life was a little better even though they didn’t have a lot of modern conveniences like we do now
0 0 0 0That was before the "Sexual Revolution" of the 1960s so they would have had sex seldom and when they did it wouldn't be very good. Also it invariably led to pregnancy and sometimes also fatal diseases.
0 0 0 0Yes I believe so.
1 0 0 0Yes, I wish I was born in 1950s. Life was so easy back then. Getting a job, buying a house, car, finding a girl at a younger age, having lots of sex and making babies everything was so easy. People were so hardworking, friendly, faithful, loyal in 1950s. It's hard to find good people these days.
0 0 0 0I so agree... They were so strong right
In 1950s, technology was not advanced but people were great so life was easy. Now, we are technologically advanced but people are bad and cruel. I hate this cruel, bad and dangerous world.
Mmm I think they had fewer sexual partners but had sex more often
0 0 0 0Exactly... And the women were more fertile
You nailed it!
I agree with you
0 0 0 0Cool
Nope.
0 0 0 0life yes sex no
0 0 0 0We did have fun
0 0 0 0The birth control pill didn’t hit the market until 1960, so I’m guessing people in the 1950’s probably didn’t have more sex than we do now as it wasn’t as consequence free. As for whether they were happier, I don’t know. Life was definitely simpler then but living standards were lower and women and minorities had fewer rights.
