I personally believe that workout clothes as purely functional. The most important factor for working out in a gym is something that is loose enough to move in, but tight enough not to trip or get tangled. The material should breathe. I have to be able to move in it without discomfort - no rubbing - chafing against skin, no constant need to adjust, need to have support for my chest so that I am not bouncing up and down when doing cardio work). I do not have any problem with working out in an old pair of sweats and a ratty t-shirt, but other women would not be caught dead in such an outfit at the gym. Most women go for cute, and there are now a lot of cute options out there for women that also meet the criteria above.
Most women definitely care about what they wear in the gym or in public. I carefully select Fabric - Fabrics that should be flexible, moisture-wicking, temperature-specific and No to see-through yoga pants. What matters most is the comfort, if I am comfortable with yoga pants or shorts I go for it, loose shorts with a compression lining are better for a rigorous cardio routine that involves a lot of jumping.
Fit- cloths should be perfect for the body shape and size. Baggy clothing is actually a safety risk since it can get caught in a machine.
Motivation. Frankly speaking, right fit cloths give me motivation when I see myself in the mirror while working out. Everyone should look good. And most important Look good and feel pretty.
We wear our passion that how we show our strength, passion, and motivation for training. The feeling of wearing trendy and comfortable cloths also added to our enthusiasm towards fitness an look. Tights - depends how tight, the argument that tight cloths do not flap around is acceptable to a point. But it is becoming the norm for women to wear clothing that outline parts of their body to an extreme degree. What they do not realize is that many men around are not to ogle, but it is naive to pretend that men can just totally ignore it as if it is not there (camel toe obviously). Once again culturally and socially we are told not to complain, that as men we should be glad of this sort of thing, as if we all just want sex and women's attention all of the time. But if a man wore pants tight enough to outline his whole penis and testicles you can be sure that he would be kicked out for doing so. Sure there are probably some women that enjoy wearing the tight pants because it shows off their body and it gets men’s attention. I personally get incentive from people in better shape than I. And, who does not appreciate a well toned, fit body?0 0 0 0

In my experience it is the girls with the hottest bodies wear the baggiest gym clothes. They are there to workout and not put on a fashion show. The ones with the tight outfits know what they are doing.
