I disagree because us guys may have "wet dreams" where we have an orgasm in our sleep.

This is obviously not "sex" for otherwise "wet dream" would become a sexual act too.

A hand job could be done solo. Its masturbation. It's a form of sexual stimulation that can lead to an orgasm. But it is not sex.

In the strictest sense, traditionally in many cultures and religions, sex = penis in vagina intercourse (PIV), a "conjugal" act between a man and a woman that may lead to pregnancy.

In the above definition, where legally, a marriage could be annulled if the couple did not consummate (had PIV intercourse), even oral and anal are not, legally speaking, sex.

Hence, in modern term, manual, oral and anal could be classified as "foreplay".

But PIV is always "sex" and never challenged.
