I tuck my hands into my pants either one to my sides by my hips with my thumb sticking out or sometimes I just tuck my thumbs into the side of my pants over my hips or I love tucking my hands into my butt pockets or I roll my hands a tangle them into my shirt resting them in my lap... Just a comfy thing
... Alone and usually when in need of comfort I'll do any of the above but also I do something like in the picture above but I tuck both hands in and then I usually roll to my side tucking my legs up or or while rolled on my side with my legs tucked up I tuck my hands between my thighs.

I recall being a late thumb sucker and the way I learned to kick the habit was by tucking my hands away either tangled in my shirt squeezed between my thighs or tucked into my pants.

A big bunch of us (gals & guys) watched the final episode of 'Married With Children' in a bar that a family friend owned. We all made a pact to do the Al Bundy gesture for at least 30 minutes while we ate & drank with only our left hand. When the bartender rang the bar bell, we no longer needed to tuck our right hand under our pants or skirts.
Since then, I'd sometimes (actually, rarely) catch myself with a hand in my pants, especially when I'm watching a movie while traveling.

Pockets can technically be considered inside the pants. The only other times I've done that is if a particular organ peaked out of my underwear and I needed to move it back in. That's when I wore briefs as opposed to boxers.
