  • When I was younger yes , I thought that was the only way to get a girl until I realized I would rather have someone accept me for me , and cherished my heart , Looks aren’t the most important thing but sadly somewhat it is these days considering social media destroyed how people look at each other , brainwashing people to think they need to look a certain way to be accepted, and it’s a load of shit cuz it’s a money maker , don’t get me wrong , yes you have to be attracted to them but that shouldn’t be the number 1 priority , what makes someone more attractive is their heart and personality , There are a lot of attractive people on the outside but not all of them are attractive from the inside , So I exercise mainly for my own energy, especially now that I am older but I don’t pressure myself cuz it ‘s. Not worth it , I know a lot of people that exercised like crazy and ate clean and Pressured themselves to look good to build confidence in themselves just to be accepted , showing off and taking tons of selfies to post all over social media. Just so they can be complimented and acknowledged and attract others but a lot of them dropped dead at a young age , So when someone tells me you need to exercise for your health , they honestly don’t know what they are talking about , Exercise should be fun for yourself , not pressured , If you feel pressured to exercise then don’t do it, cuz it really means nothing , it only means something to people that think their shit don’t stink and have low self esteem about themselves to be accepted when all it is , is a huge money maker that’s been going on for years , convincing people this is the way you need to look , you should buy this and eat this , this iOS a magic pill this is a magic shake to make you lean and beautiful , to realize it’s all a crock of shit , Me personally calls myself a bear , come winter and holidays I hibernate like a motherfucker cuz I hate the cold weather , so I eat more and drink more and relax and stay warm come spring and summer my ass is outside as much as possible and that’s when I start exercising again so I can be more active outside and more energy , I try to live my life as happy and content as possible , if a girl out there wants to join me that would be amazing an awesome , but I am not going to change myself to be accepted. I been down that road plenty of times to realize it isn’t worth it

  • If you're a guy with low self esteem believe women in general won't like you because your chubby or too skinny don't got muscles. You're wrong. Woman look for honesty, integrity, not "Mr. Nice" paying her bills and following her to the mall to see what fits. Real man are those that got boundaries and If she don't follow she is replaced. Making her see who matters on your roof. Not letting her push you around. Easy to have you thinking you don't look good. They won't date you. Wrong. Of course a man gotta look good dress good. Have a stable job. Take care of his woman n give her what she needs. Car, diamonds, traveling. Etc. But that come with being a man of integrity. Not a follower.

  • No.
    And I never have really.
I get the appeal of it but its neither bothered me enough one way or another. I'm not saying I'm 100% body confident. Everyone has insecurities and down days. But I'm not going to restrict my life to have thw hottest bod.

    I'm healthy - that's enough for me.

    • Did you vote on the poll?

  • I feel immensed pressure as a black woman to have no stomach and a big booty. My body type is portioned all around with a slightly bigger chest, and I keep being called built bad but I think my body is average and fine. Im not seeing it.

  • Yes I feel pressured by family. Not necessarily have a great body but be skinny and fit mostly. I think it's partly from their believes that skinny = healthy and also bc of societal pressure.
I also put pressure on myself to be skinny and fit.

  • Nope. I'm of the age where I can do what the fuck I like. And I like it that way.

  • When I entered uni and lived a broke student diet, I messed my body up and hated myself for it - I placed an image of wanting my old high school body back and being able to fit in my old skinny Jean's. I've come to make it a lifestyle now to watch what I eat and exercise daily - and so there isn't exactly pressure in wanting to look a certain way as I'm pretty satisfied with the body I have - as is my husband.

  • I don't no. I just feel good about myself and it helps boost confidence to know I look good and that I earned it. I do it for me.

  • Depends on what you mean exactly. If you mean as in beauty standards, no. But if you mean as in better skin care, hygiene, exercise, etc. then the answer would be yes.

  • YES. I've always felt that pressure since I was like 10 and getting heckled for being too skinny. I've worked hard for years to get the body I have now.

  • I feel bad for girls since I think they have it more

  • In fairness, If I'm imposing THAT judgement on MY female companion then I OWE her the same courtesy!
She should never have to foist that "... but he has a NICE personality" excuse when queried by HER girlfriends.

I WISH I COULD say: "But he can lick his eyebrows!" or "his penis is prehensile!" LOL!

  • I don't ever really think about it I mean I'm in very good health very good shape so I don't think about it at all I take that back maybe summer times I have like a six pack but I could be more defined more details but that's all I do is think about it and keep going mellow out never do anything about it cuz I don't it looks good as long as I'm in good shape that's all I care about

  • But what IS, a "Great Body"? Some like one thing, and others ADORE something else!
Does Society determine, for EVERYONE, or can people just choose, for themselves, with those they meet, and love, what is a "Great Body" to them, together?

  • Yes, its so difficult to be fit and in shape. And i got there after a lot of work

    • Then I am pretty sure tha111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111`

  • Nah. If I wanted I could be a fat slob and I'm sure I could date some other fat slob like me lol.

But I want to look good for my girl. I want her to be turned on by me and all that. I also like fitness and stuff anyways.

  • Not anymore. But I also have gotten rid of the toxic side of diet culture and embrace being healthy rather than focusing too much on aesthetics. Yet, my body adapts to a healthy diet and looks pretty decent. So, it's a win-win.

  • I'm just naturally awesome.

    • U r 🔥🔥🙈

  • I would not call it pressure. Teaching youth gymnastics means your performance depend on being healthy! I have been doing gymnastics since I was 9 years so for me its part of routine ^_^

  • Over the start of the pandemi I gained a fair bit of weight. Started losing it after Christmas, not because I felt insecure, no, because im too cheap and lazy to buy new clothes and my jeans were getting a bit snug 😂 only pressure I felt was the pressure of my jeans button pressing into my skin

  • Yes and the pressure is paying off

  • I get a lot of hate and people putting me down because of my body. I try to stay positive through it and it’s not easy but giving up isn’t an option for me.. I only feel pressured because that’s just the way society is I guess

    • Hey, just ignore the haters and do your best to stay positive.

  • For me, I don't want to aim to be heavy set but I'm also looking for a girl like this
