Seems like things like porn and even drawings of sexual things (like hentai) triggers Americans because anything even remotely sexual is considered "degeneracy" to them.
America has a very unhealthy and ambivalent relationship with sex. On the one hand everything is about sex, but at the same time it's taboo. Super weird. The whole obsession with virginity is sick. On the one hand people preach about staying "innocent" and "pure" until marriage (a concept that is close to non-existent in most of Europe) and slut-shaming anyone (well, women) who dares having an active sex life, but at the same time people (mostly men) are being ridiculed and considered social outcasts if they stay virgins beyond their early/mid 20s.
We have religious conservative bigots who want to control people's sex lives on the one end of the spectrum, and delusional incels who are ticking time-bombs on the other end. Anyone who's in somewhere in the middle of that spectrum (i. e. normal people) is being attacked by both extremes of the spectrum.
Virginity is a bullshit concept that makes no sense. Being a virgin is neither a good thing nor a bad thing. It's not even a thing, it's just a label with an extremely vague and inconsistent definition, if any at all. Having a healthy relationship with your own sexuality and sex life is all that matters. If you want to have casual sex because you enjoy - go ahead and enjoy it, there's nothing wrong with it. If you want to wait before you have sex or are very picky about who you have sex with - great, do that. But if you want to do either of those things because of peer/social pressure, because of fear of being labeled a "loser" or a "slut", that's bad.
Sex is a beautiful thing. As long as all involved are consentining, are not being manipulated and are having a good time, there can't possibly be anything wrong with it.
You must have not been to Europe enough, it isn't exactly a haven for hentai lovers, just like there are certain specific areas where such things are acceptable in the USA, there are only certain specific areas where such things are acceptable in western Europe and other developed countries
