I always use condoms until I have been with someone for a while and we both have been tested. Since not all STDs can be tested for, going bareback is still a big commitment even if you have been tested.

as long as I know the guy had trust him I see no problem in going bareback, but more often than not I will use a condom.

  It's actually much better than it was in my mom's time. It still makes me really emotional and I bleed heavily even on a low dose. The really scary thing is how many of my friends have ended up in the hospital with blood clots. Those can kill you. So, nope. Not for me. Plus it can increase certain cancer risks.

  I can understand why many women are birth control free when hearing and reading the side effects!! I've solely relied on the pullout method previous partners in the past because they couldn't take any birth control methods either.

  When I was married we used a combination of rhythm and condoms. My cycle is very regular so I knew when I was fertile or not. It worked for us.

  It depends on the particular woman and the particular brand she's on. I've never had any bad side effects from mine whatsoever. All of my side effects have been good ones (clearer skin, clockwork periods, etc.).

  @PunkinPie yeah, that's often the case, sadly. I have a couple of friends who have tried three or four brands and just can't handle it. I'm really grateful that my boyfriend and I have a birth control that is completely invisible and hassle-free and wish everyone could. I guess it's just the luck of the draw.

  @Tammy94 None of my exGFs could take any birth control because of the same reasons @PunkinPie mentioned plus they really disliked condoms so we were happy to solely rely on the pullout method which had been very effective in avoiding pregnancy.

  @Asker, yeah, when the Pill works, it's fabulous, but there's a significant number of girls who just can't take it. I myself HATE pullout and am glad we don't have to rely on it.
