In some ways, a girl giving her virginity to a guy is like a guy proposing to a girl and she says yes.

In terms of physical intimacy, it’s such a special thing to give and such a powerful expression of acceptance.

It’s a way that a girl says, “I choose YOU.” And that’s a choice that can only be made once.

This makes a guy feel super special being the ONLY one to ever be able to be called her first.

It should be a very special moment, it should be a very meaningful moment. It should be something beautiful, a girl giving sharing this moment that can only be shared once.

But it’s such a terrible thing if a guy takes it for granted, and cheapens the experience to nothing but a source of validation to feed his ego. To make it about him. That’s like feeling proud that he got someone to sell him their soul. That’s malicious and it makes my blood boil.

If a girl gives you her heart, you take care of it. You protect it. You guard it. You don’t rip it to shreds and move onto the next.

Anyway, the act of giving away one’s virginity can be a very beautiful thing, but only in the context of two people who truly love each other.

Is a guy going to feel good knowing that a girl gave her virginity to him? Of course. It will always make them feel special.

But, that shouldn’t be the focus or the point of it. The point of it is the relationship, her giving her body to him as an expression of her giving her heart to him.

It’s from that point that the guy can choose to be a man of honor or a man of dishonor.

And I believe if a man is going to receive the honor of being a woman’s first, then he should do the honorable thing and treat her right and take care of her.

I've never been with a virgin before.

My immediate concern in that situation would be the pressure/anxiety associated with making sure she feels safe, it's enjoyable and her first time is as comfortable as it can be. I would never want to be the reason she doesn't enjoy sex afterwards as that would likely break my heart.

If she was happy afterwards, then I may be proud. Not in the sense that I took her virginity, but more as a sense of relief/elation, that I didn't hurt her to the point where it was uncomfortable.

I think the guy who got my cherry had mixed feelings about it later because I was so young and the age difference between us. I however never regretted that night, but agree I was much too young at the time.

As for me I have never taken a guys cherry as in his first sexual encounter
