I think it’s the best part of relationships. And it’s not sex. In fact I’d say it’s the remains of the day, 23.8 hrs. Maybe less because women seem to be sooo tired for sex.
Sex is incidental of a romantic partnership. And it’s even more a “life partnership”. Sharing finances, being accountable, allowing yourself to change for them.
I can't imagine a relationship without either, but intimacy is more important in a way of missing sex for a time is sad but no reason for breakup. Not having any form of intimacy for a while can be really problematic for me in a relationship I would say.

Eh, I don't think so. Intimacy to me is something WAY deeper than just "getting along well" with someone. I get along well with lots of women. If I were to have sex with one of them, I wouldn't feel any more intimate than I do now, nor would I necessarily know them on a deeper level. I'd have just had sex with them.
